The current plot centers around the drama between the top two students the school, and an average "charity case" who's been dragged into this mess.

In the country of Sirona, there is a boarding school where rich girls with innate magical talent are sent to develop their skills, in order to become Sorcerers. It is a three year high school. Sirona has a rich history centered around Dragons and Dragon Knights, but in modern times, true dragons are rarely seen. The school's purpose is to train people into being strong magic-users to support their communities, but being a school for mainly rich people means it ends up being mainly a popularity contest. People generally want to compare natural talent and prove the strength of their bloodline, rather than do anything tedious or difficult.
The school has separate male and female boarding and central areas, but they share some facilities. They're permitted to interact in common areas, but sex-exclusive facilities are meant to be kept that way. Shared class facilities are also scheduled to keep as much separation as possible. The two have separate but similar uniforms. The tie colours are first year = red, second year = purple, third year = blue. Ignore the below drawings where they all have red ties.
magic details
While there are various species in the world, this area and school is almost entirely humans. Magic can be learned in three main ways: natural talent/bloodline magic (sorcery), dedicated intensive studying (magery), or through religious studies (clergy). People can learn multiple types of magic if they choose, but it's intensive work. All intelligent species (and monsters) are capable of magic. However, bloodline magic implies non-human ancestry of some sort, particularly elven or draconic. It can be a very small amount though, and can skip generations, so often people don't really know the source of their sorcery. Without knowing the source, it can be hard to learn how to use it, hence such schools are useful for these people. Also, black magic exists, but it is illegal for most people to use, and it is extremely draining. People who use it to try and cheat are caught almost immediately due to the strain and illness it puts on them.

Through circumstances, she had secretely befriended Velile in the past, and she paid for her entrance into the school. Ends up being her unwilling lackey. As she is thoroughly average in skill and below everyone else in class, she fades into the background easily. This makes her very good at sneaking around and figuring out gossip. |

A third-year rich girl with a high degree of natural talents, who coasts through life and school without putting in any effort, and wants to keep it that way. She easily got the #1 student position in her first year, but was outshone by Morelle in her second. For this year, she wants her position back without putting in any extra effort, preferring to find some way to get Morelle out of her hair. |

A second-year dragonborn, who is the top student at school at the moment. Is said to be the descendent of a powerful dragon. While she stands out, she has a friendly, helpful, and laidback personality that makes her popular and keeps jealousy from others to a minimum. People believe she relies on natural talent, but she actually studies very hard to keep her position, to the point of severe stress, but she keeps it hidden. Can be very cruel when she wants to. |
| Garance | The headmaster of the school, with a background in draconic magic studies. Keeps her face partially hidden. She apparently adopted Morelle as a baby, and shows heavy favouritism for her. |
